Isabella Gordon - Marketing Intern | Audi

"I’ve had the privilege of interning as a Marketing Intern for Audi Ireland at Volkswagen Group Ireland for the past seven months, through the INTRA program at Dublin City University. This internship has been a fantastic opportunity to develop key marketing skills, including digital marketing, PR, social media, and event coordination.

From the start, I’ve been surrounded by a supportive and talented team. They’ve been instrumental in helping me grow professionally, always available to guide me through tasks and encourage me to take on new challenges. I’ve been involved in exciting projects such as assisting in organizing the dealer's conference, assisting with a car photography shoot, and helping to coordinate Product Week, where employees had the chance to test drive new models. These experiences have given me hands-on exposure to various aspects of marketing and event management.

One of the most rewarding parts of my internship has been working alongside the other interns. As project lead for the 2024 end-of-year video, I collaborated with the team to create a video we were all proud to showcase. The close-knit intern group has made teamwork a joy, and our shared experiences have strengthened both our professional and personal relationships.

This internship has confirmed my passion for marketing and has given me the confidence to pursue a career in the industry. The exposure to different areas of marketing, coupled with the practical skills I’ve gained, has made this experience truly invaluable"

Emma McCarney - Product & Planning Executive | Volkswagen Passenger Cars

"During my internship at VWGI, I had the opportunity to work in the Product & Planning department in SEAT CUPRA. This experience was invaluable and transformative for me both personally and professionally.

In my role, I was involved in various tasks that enhanced my communication skills, Excel proficiency & business analytics. In VWGI you are given real responsibilities within the company which is highly motivating and rewarding.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my internship was the personal growth I experienced. I became more confident in my abilities and developed a clearer vision for my career. The supportive environment at VWGI encouraged me to take initiative and embrace challenges, which has made me more career-driven and motivated.

I am very grateful for the opportunity to have worked in the VWGI graduate programme and progress to becoming a Product & Planning Executive in VWPC. Currently looking after the brands reporting, stock management, dealer queries and forecasting. VWGI encourages and promotes a learning environment which has greatly helped me to progress in my career. Having access to the company car scheme is also a great benefit to working here! "

Nicholas Dunphy – National Fleet and Used Car Manager SEAT | CUPRA

"When I started at the Volkswagen Group as an intern in 2016, I never imagined I’d still be here all these years later. The opportunities offered to me from day one have helped me develop and grow in my career. Thanks to amazing colleagues and managers, I have progressed from intern to my current role, working in both sales and marketing across two different brands, which has given me a strong foundation to take my career to the next level. I believe the internship program at Volkswagen Group Ireland is second to none, providing interns with valuable experience through inclusion and collaboration in all aspects of their roles. "
